In Strasbourg on January 16 and 17, the European Commission will be organizing a major interactive event open to all stakeholders in the fields of social business and the social economy in Europe.

Thanks to a variety of stands, conferences and discussion venues, this two-day event entitled “Social Entrepreneurs: Have Your Say!” will allow participants to:

–          Take stock of progress made in implementing the Social Business Initiative, launched by the European Commission in 2011;

–          Promote development of the most advantageous ecosystems for social businesses;

–          Share experiences and best practices;

–          Raise awareness among institutional stakeholders and urge them to support social business issues.

This event aspires to bring together several thousand EU actors, thus underpinning the legitimacy of the Commission’s various initiatives since 2011 and enhancing the prominence of social business and the social economy as a whole.
