About IPSE

The Institute for European Social Protection – Ipse

Ipse was founded on June 21, 1989, having sprung from a desire to contribute to the creation of solidary social welfare in Europe by promoting social dialogue, social economics, and solidarity.

Ipse’s statutory objective

As a permanent structure for dialogue and partnerships between stakeholders in social welfare, Ipse :

promotes the development of social welfare in Europe

promotes cooperative actions and synergy between its members

assists and advises its members, social partners, social organisms, professional branches, and businesses as they conduct research and studies to develop social welfare

helps to disseminate information on social problems and challenges and to spread awareness of different economic and cultural environments

To advance the social-welfare debate, Ipse strives to find common ground between the principal institutions, international organisations, and representative European social partners. We organize exchanges and partnerships around these themes, both in the European Union and in
associated non-member states.

By bringing together corporations and some highly qualified people, Ipse combines the strength of social-welfare groups, the experience of administrators, and the expertise of specialists.
